People seem very anti being giving something for nothing so if you'd feel more comfortable paying me to give you full front page exposure for your sites and writing services then please do, I won't object! But as it stands this is a free service with no registration or mailing list to opt into.

A writers directory that people can freely promote themselves on. You don't have to be a pro you can still promote yourself if you want people to know what you are about or to consider you for writing jobs.

What do I get out of all this lovely kind stuff?
Well it is hoped that I can at some point drive enough traffic to the site to generate a few ad clicks. That and build a nice network of writers who can perhaps communicate via comments and so on. I have a knack of getting around the web so let me help me you do the same, that's it in a nutshell.

Ah, why would you want to ask me anything?

I am creativeblogger and I have figured out a few things about writing on the web over the last few years that I am happy to share. I am still (depsite having left the site a few months ago) most read author at problogs.com with over 54,000 viewings in under 6 months, and 3rd author with most fans over at top article site searchwarp and I was a relatiosnhip columnist there for a while too. I started the ball rolling on this with a simple myspace blog and then went blogging bonkers.

Very importantly though
I am number 1 in Google for the term 'pretty vagina' and I think that is my biggest achievement to date. *wink*

Do I take myself seriously, no and neither should you!

The one blog is specifically advice and tips. I don't ptomote it much, it's just there if anyone wants to know this and that. I am rubbish at keeping secrets so if I find something out I pop it on there so all can benefit. I haven't sold anything from the site (regardless of ads) or ever had a Google adsense check so really it is for pleasure and not profit though I live in hope that one day that check will come!

The other blog is solely to promote other writers and again one hopes with more traffic the greater increased chance of a check at some point!

I decided to start the second one in frustration because I could not find a site myself I could just pop up a profile without giving out lots of personal registration info (something I don't like doing over the web) and if I want more services I have to pay. Also clients have to pay and wot not, so not sure how beneficial it would for me to join, so I haven't.

As a single mum of two kids, mortgage, car and only part time income I can't afford anything extra like registrations to writer sites.

So I created a page for myself number 1, which I have NOT listed here as that would be 100% self promotion and believe it or not that's not what I am about, hence no link to my own blog which only harps on about me and the services I offer. The site is not even on mybloglog and how anyone expects to find it is a mystery, oh aside from via my blogger.com profile. I have my dot com website too though but blogs I think get more attention from Google.

I get people showing me their work and it's often better than mine. Yet they don't get the same exposure. There is a way to write for the web and it's very specific so great literary works may get lost in cyber space which is very sad and bears no reflection on the writers talent.

These writers still desrerve to be seen and I hope site 2 provides that facility.

All my sites have ads and what not on site related products but 3 sales in eons does not cover 10hrs a day work!

I get very little out of all this writing myself in terms of financial gain but it pleases me knowing I am read and that I can get Googles attention when I put lots of effort in which at some point will result in being paid for my efforts I am sure. I think the book offer I had recently was a good indicator of the value of being known on the web and having a wide audience to market to.

So the message to writers is...put yourself out there!
