Six different actors have played spy James Bond in the official franchise.
Sean Connery originated the role in 1962's Dr No, and went on to play the character in From Russia with Love (1963), Goldfinger (1964), Thunderball (1965) and You Only Live Twice (1967). He reprised the role in 1971's Diamonds are Forever and in non-canonical instalment Never Say Never Again in 1983.
George Lazenby made one appearance in 1969's On Her Majesty's Secret Service,
Roger Moore, who played the part throughout the 1970s and early 1980s. He appeared as Bond in Live and Let Die (1973), The Man with the Golden Gun (1974), The Spy who Loved Me (1977), Moonraker (1979), For Your Eyes Only (1981), Octopussy (1983) and A View to a Kill (1985).
Timothy Dalton then played Bond in The Living Daylights (1987) and License to Kill (1989).
Pierce Brosnan played Bond in the 1990s and early 2000s, beginning with Goldeneye in 1995, followed by Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002).
Daniel Craig is the latest actor to play Bond.
